Home!
I’ve been thinking about…
…Home!
In 1950, my parents found a special little town, had a special little house built, and happily raised their family there.
After my mother died, John and I enlarged the house and moved in with Dad — kids, dog, and office. We happily raised our family in that special house, in that special little town.
Now after three quarters of a century (!) we are moving to another special— bigger— town, to a very special house that we are designing to be our forever home AND a family house for kids, grands, and grand-dogs.
It is interesting to reflect on the idea of “moving away” or “moving to.” My heart has been with the latter. We are moving TO a warmer clime, a welcoming environment, and most important of all — to family. One family is in this town. Our two other families are an easier trip to us (and us to them). And for the grands, any visit to us now means cousin time!
We are not “moving away” as all that we love is either coming with us or will live in our hearts.
Travel back for visits is already in our plan. Visits to our new home will be welcomed!
Truly, HOME is where the heart is.
Here’s to a HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2026 be full of wonders and joy.
