Six!
I’ve been thinking about…
…SIX!
SIX darling grands — of course!
Now, SIX Noanie Books!
Welcome, Mac, to the Family is published!
Jo Ann and I are especially proud of this book. I am gratified that Kate was so willing to share the story of Mac’s early birth so other families can have a way to talk with their little ones when the new baby has to stay in the hospital longer.
Jo Ann — a life-long learner to her core — embraced the new world of Artificial Intelligence in graphic arts. The images in the book are AI generated from photos. Jo Ann has yet to find other illustrators creating human form images rather than cartoon images with AI technology. Her work in this book is cutting edge!
And! We are so proud to have SIX Mom’s Choice GOLD Awards!
Jo Ann and I are really pleased that all six of our books have been honored with the GOLD award. I reached out to Jordan Slay, an associate with Mom’s Choice for how the awards are determined. She replied:
The evaluation process includes Mom's Choice Awards evaluators who volunteer their time and are bound by a strict code of ethics which ensures expert and objective analysis free from any manufacturer association. The evaluation process uses a proprietary methodology in which items are scored on a number of elements including production quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal, and cost. Each item is judged on its own merit. MCA evaluators are especially interested in items that help families grow emotionally, physically and spiritually; are morally sound and promote good will; and are inspirational and uplifting.
The intent behind my books has always been to help young readers better grasp their world — understanding emotions, entering kindergarten, appreciating the beauty of grandparents’ names, discovering gardens, and now welcoming a sibling into the family.
The beauty of children’s books is their communal nature of reading together — discovering, sharing, enjoying the experience together. I feel blessed that my books can contribute to tradition.
